Market Trend Watch and Eye Candy!
Our trip to Market was a Huge Success! We covered ALOT of ground.. According to my Apple phone, we ran thru 26.8 miles of showrooms in 4 days! An actual marathon!! AND we took 2283 photos and videos!.. Needless to say, I was happily exhausted and we are ready to design!
Here are the 5 trends we noticed the most!
1. “Sexy’s Back!”
Manufacturer’s are paying attention to ALL sides of furniture. So many gorgeous pieces had lovely details on the BACK… which is great news for us as we love a beautiful chair that can be left alone in a space and not look “lonely!”
2. Color’s Back
In a BIG way! Most notable, Green – Green was everywhere!
3. What’s Old is New
Many fixtures and furnishings were a “nod to the past” but with a fresh new twist!
4. Better in Two’s!
It seems we ran into pairs of ottomans or groups of them all around. They are very chic.. and so much fun. Who needs a small herd of ottomans?!
5. Nails to dye for!
Nailhead designs were evident and really add a simple but impactful dimension to pieces.
To add to the fun, one of our clients flew in just for one day – It was wet and drizzly, but she made the best of it! Our kind of girl…
