New Designs from Rutt Cabinetry: Ruskin Series

As stated on their website, Rutt’s new Ruskin series allows us to “fall in love with history.”  The series was designed exclusively for Rutt by renowned designer of luxury kitchens, Scott A. Stultz, and was inspired by art & architecture critic John Ruskin.

insidestyle 9Stultz says that he “focused not only on history and strong design principles, but on what captures our attention and holds emotional value for us in the way our homes are furnished.” The result?? A fine mix of traditional inspiration, modernist sensibility, and contemporary styling.     insidestyle6I loved how they combined the white oak finish of Rutt’s appliance armoire with the clean lines of the brilliant white finish of Miele’s 6000 PureLine series oven (if you like this, you’ll love Miele’s new appliance line!!).

This whole set-up would be perfect for those clients who appreciate a light and airy design with strong architectural touches to unify the space. And notice how they added different sized panels top and bottom to add interest and subtle detailing.

So, are you getting used to the whitewashed finishes yet?? Cause they’re baaaaccccckkk! However, the official name is the Keswick finish.     insidestyle 4Now I want you to answer this question without thinking about it… Does your silverware drawer look like this!!!? Because mine looks like a cross between something that “used to be organized” and a camping trip storage shed.

Seeing lovely images like these inspires me to change my non-cooking, “creative” ways! In any event, as an interior designer, I am able to organize my clients’ lives to a “T,” and I often do, but my own home can be a different story. This will definitely be on my playlist!!     insidestyle 3Overall, I was particularly attracted to the fine attention to detail, the craftsmanship, and the subtle elegant touches of Rutt’s hardware. This series will definitely stand the test of time and would work perfectly in my clients’ kitchens… even here in Vegas where we have a tendency to demolish anything older than 15 years 🙂

Given that this is their first major introduction in the last decade, It just proves that good things are worth waiting for! They are elegant, timeless and  functional with an emotional appeal… Rutt Cabinetry, this collection is brilliant!!
