Wifehood, Motherhood, and the Pursuit of Interior Design

“Mr. F,” as I lovingly call my husband, and I have four beautiful children. I feel like people are on a roller coaster ride ready to drop when I tell them. Oh, how I love the reactions.

Now add my career in Interior Design.

I don’t want to just rehash the old cliché (or Sarah Jessica Parker movie), but it’s not that uncommon for someone to ask me how I manage to do it all and maintain sanity.

Answer: One beautiful day at a time.

One minute I’m hunting my three-year-old’s shoe whereabouts, giving hugs, sending “love you” texts to Mr. F, and the next minute I’m sourcing furniture and fabric at work after my morning school drop-off.

My kids love the Inside Style Showroom as you can see. They took pics by all their favorite items and asked for them to be added to their Christmas list. Uh-huh 🙂

As I’m changing modes daily between wife, mother and interior designer, I’m finding a balance and enjoying what my life holds for me right now.

Now . . . excuse me while I go manage phone calls, incoming shipments, client proposals, installs, sourcing, and holding on to all the good times.
