Remodel: Creating a Luxury Bathroom with Plenty of Storage

One of my most recent clients live in a fairly small tract home here in the Summerlin area of Las Vegas, but like a lot of folks – after weighing in whether to move up or stay and remodel –

the remodel won!!! Looking for the next best interior design project is always a challenge.  My clients wanted their bathroom to feel like a spa – luxurious with plenty of storage.

We took out their bathtub and replaced it with a sleek walk-in shower, and it’s the first thing you see when you walk into the bathroom. Look how spacious it is, especially with those shelves!!! The detachable shower head is a convenient accessory, am I right?! I also love the marble bench…super helpful when shaving legs…right ladies?!?

We added a bench to the right side of the shower. They placed a Buddha statue to on the bench for decoration, which helps give the bathroom an Eastern feel right here in Las Vegas. Isn’t he cute??!! I also love the little fish on the shelf above him too. More shelves for more storage, too!!!

The vertical chestnut cabinet between twin sinks really pulls the bathroom together!!! My clients showed me a picture of an East meets West style, so we chose a cabinet with the same horizontal pattern. Choosing a color for the cabinets was the most difficult process, and after investigating for a while, we found Waldo!!! The color beautifully coordinates with the hardwood floors in the adjoining bedroom.

We installed a modern, curved faucet for the sink. Modern sinks are a great touch to a bathroom, and if you want a faucet fix, Blanco’s new line will revamp your kitchen. Above the sink we added gorgeous, square lights above the large, oval mirror.

From the sleek, modern statue to the Buddha statue, I think we definitely accomplished a luxurious bathroom with an East meets West feeling. These clients work on opposite schedules in the hospital, but hey, the contractors worked around their hectic schedules, and in the end, they were very happy!!!
